Sarah´s first enquiry with me was in the spring of this year, with less than 5 months to go and a large wedding to organise, she had hit what I always refer to as the ´Wedding Wall´ and she knew I was the only wedding planner here that would envisage her dream and make it come true.
Whilst quite a few suppliers were in place, there was still a lot of work to be done. With a short engagement combined with a busy date in September set Sarah had also discovered many popular, and easy to find on the internet, suppliers were already booked.
When I met with Sarah, and her charming mother, at their beautiful home in Sotogrande, the location for her wedding, they also explained to me that they wanted the pressure taken off them, someone who knew exactly what they were doing, had experience and to assist and finish the planning, finalise the budget, organise the suppliers and have a team present on the day.
I explained I was already personally booked on their actual wedding day and would be in Barcelona, but I would work with them on the lead up to the wedding and put a team into place to oversee the day.
As it was a high end large wedding involving a lot of suppliers the first thing I did was organise a team meeting at the house with everyone involved so the left arm knew what the right arm was doing! We had marquees, portable toilets, the pool being covered, sound and lighting, music, catering, furniture hire and of course the floral installation to consider and the set up of this wedding needed to be carefully managed.
The suppliers were able to introduce themselves to each other and discuss all the details. A much clearer plan was created, along with budget sheets, payment plans, table seating arrangements and timings for the day. The church was finalised and the last few suppliers required were sourced and booked including the florist and hair and make up.
I also created a timeline of the wedding set up as there were so many suppliers involved and luckily could start 3 days beforehand starting with extra fridges being delivered, we were finally ready to roll! If there is chilled champagne really nothing else can go wrong :)!
What I particularly loved about this wedding was Sarah´s involvement. Along with probably spending many evenings creating gorgeous favours, signage and details, Sarah´s vision of her wedding was very clear. I did giggle when she described her Pinterest board as extensive 🙂
Sarah´s vision of her wedding was a floral garden fantasy in what was already a fabulous garden created lovingly over the years by her mother, I was impressed to see such beautifully manicured lawns and still am very jealous when I look at my rather patchy lawn!
The tables were to be named after herbs and as Sarah spends a lot of time between Spain and London she had hired a fantastic calligrapher, Merrie Bright, to write her table seating plan, table names and placecards.
The fabulous florals were created by the maestro of florists here, Pedro Navarro, who I knew would be perfect to create Sarah´s dream vision of her day and always creates stunning work far beyond clients expectations.
I was able to complete Sarah´s gorgeous hair and make up with the delightful team at Glow and Bubbly in Benahavis for hair and Sophie, an extraordinary make up artist based in London, Beautisserie which worked out perfectly as Sarah was able to have her make up trial in London. Sarah looked stunning in her Victorio y Lucchino dress, designers from Seville, and her gorgeous shoes were from Emmy London.
The amazing team at Goyo Catering, headed by the charming Raul, provided the 5 star catering, and we used Antonio at Noe Eventos for extra furniture hire such as the cross back chairs, heaters and parasols. Mark at Costa Del Party provided the lighting, sound, organised the portable toilets, booked fabulous entertainment for the evening and DJ´d for the night, The marquees and chill out were provided by the lovely Rocio at Carpas y Eventos.

We cannot wait to see the video from Reel Love Films to share with you and I would like to thank all our suppliers for being so professional and delivering the most stunning wedding.
There were tears, I know, from one of them due to unforeseen circumstances and receiving phone calls and frantic messages whilst driving to Barcelona!! but everyone pulled off a fabulous day. I would also like to thank my fabulous team who support me and remain hugely loyal to me, Rocio and Katie, a rare find I have discovered!
Our huge congratulations to the gorgeous Sarah and Gary, we hope you have wonderful memories of such a fabulous day and enjoy sharing a fantastic happily married life together.
