A stunning church and imposing Palacio in the heart of Seville City was always going to be a winning combination for the wedding of Aine & Sean who adore this vibrant city as much as we do.

Aine contacted us with just 6 months to organize her wedding having seen our work and a previous wedding she loved on our blog at the stunning Casa Guardiola.

The Casa Guardiola epitomizes the spirit of Seville city and is located just across the square from the famous 5 star Alfonso XIII hotel and near the imposing Gothic cathedral surrounded by historical buildings.

I could not wait to start planning their wedding and when Jana our intern arrived, she also worked on this with me as I knew this would be a lovely wedding for her to be involved in.

You can imagine my delight, as Aine and I worked on her wedding, when she showed me a sneak preview of her beautiful dress from Hermione de Paula, it really was a work of art with their initials and wedding date intricately embroidered onto the sleeves.

With the venue and catering booked we were then struggling to find a church, May is a hugely popular month here in Spain with not only weddings but communions. Finally, with the help of the wonderful Vera from Albardero, we had a church booked at the Hospital de Caridad, just around the corner from the Casa.  Aine rented a wonderful apartment with panoramic views overlooking the city centre for her bridal preparations.

This is always what I tell my bridesmaids not to do, but hey kids we can forgive them for racing up the aisle!!

I adore this image where Aine is showing Sean the details on her dress sleeves.

As with any historical building and churches, there are restrictions as to what you can do, in this case, it was no confetti and sparklers, so if you have your heart set on these things then do check before you book any historical venue.

In Aine & Sean´s case, being such a fun and laid back couple, their only want was to bring some of their travel adventures into their wedding.  We had a simple cake created with a day of the dead cake topper to mark their travels to South America and gold safari animals on the tables to hold the table names in.  I loved these slightly quirky travel details in what was a very elegant wedding.

The design of the wedding was simple, Aine loved fresh greens, white and soft pink florals, combined with a touch of olive to resemble Spain.  Her bouquet was a combination of beautiful white and soft pink peonies mixed with a little eucalyptus, it smelt divine.  Cartamo florist also decorated the venue with garlands around the columns and simple pretty centerpieces, the whole room smelt wonderful.

After a lovely walk from the church to the venue, allowing for these brilliant photo opportunities with Pedro Bellido, Aine and Sean were able to welcome their guests from London and Ireland to join them in the celebration of their marriage.

Guests were entertained with the sounds of a Spanish guitar during the cocktail hour followed by a wonderful 3-course dinner hosted by Alabardero catering.

The stationery was designed and created by Jana, our amazing intern, who loved working on Aine & Sean´s wedding, Jana was involved in the planning, designing and on the day coordination and did a brilliant job.  We want you back!

We loved this Day of the Dead cake Topper, along with the cute pinata garland.  Guests were then invited back across the courtyard for the party and bar starting with Aine & Sean´s first dance.  As you can see quite a party followed, dancing well into the night in the heart of Seville, the party capital of Andalucia!

Our hugest congratulations to Aine & Sean and to Pedro Bellido for sharing these fabulous images with us.
