Hi, I am Laura, the owner of Reviva Weddings and I love nothing more than creating beautiful weddings and fabulous parties for my clients.
I launched Reviva in 2007 following a creative career, in London and Spain, as an interior designer and event stylist.
Since launching I am proud to have planned and designed over 300 fabulous weddings and celebrations here in Spain, from surprise proposals, elopements, intimate weddings, dinner parties, corporate events and of course many beautiful weddings.
I have a huge love affair with creating magical atmospheres and transforming spaces. My love of fairy lights, lanterns, sequins and glitter is famous hence earning the nickname of ´The Fairy Godmother!´
I have a creative background graduating from St Martins Art College then continued my career as a merchandise stylist for companies such as Sandersons where I was promoted to the assistant display manager. I then worked for Concept as part of a corporate event decorations team in London. When my first daughter was born I stepped out of the corporate world and took a part-time job at a local florist and also attended further education for 3 years to become a qualified interior designer. I worked as an interior designer and stylist until I created Reviva Weddings.
I adore spending time creating personal touches for my clients from designing stationery to getting carried away with a glue gun and a can of spray paint!
I also have a love of cushions and linens but that is another story!
My path into wedding and event planning started in London organising corporate events for clients such as Time Warner Brothers, Jigsaw, Gardiner and Theobald, Sun Microsystems and many more corporate companies.
I fell in love with Spain as a small child, I was fortunate my parents owned a home here and I spent many idyllic summers in Spain.
My love of the Mediterranean lifestyle never faded and I decided when my girls were tiny to move them to enjoy a healthier, more carefree childhood and have never looked back.
When I was expecting my third daughter I was working in interior design and my hairdresser was moaning about the lack of decor and accessories here to style her wedding.
Whilst on maternity leave I decided to set up my own business providing wedding and party decorations and styling. By the end of 2008 my business had taken off, I was decorating and styling many weddings and parties and I loved it!
I figure I have always been trying to recreate the magic of my childhood despite growing up! The world of pure imagination!
In 2009, during the recession in Spain, I had 7 weddings that needed on the ground assistance to move their weddings to different venues resulting in the additional services of wedding planning to add to Reviva´s bow. By 2012 Reviva was planning and designing over 30 weddings each year.
I do not offer packages or conveyor belt weddings, each celebration I work on is unique to my client, therefore, I have limited spaces and now take on no more than 20 weddings each year to give my clients the full attention they deserve.
Since I started my business I have been fortunate to have met and worked with some hugely talented individuals in the wedding industry.
I run various Wedding Planning groups dedicated to promoting professionalism within the Spanish Wedding Industry and have been invited as a board member for WIPA, Spain.
During my career I have attended various wedding conferences as a speaker and my work has been published in many magazines and blogs.
I also run a coaching and mentoring the wedding industry business and am proud to have seen some of my clients and suppliers create their dream businesses here in Spain.
When I am not working, which is rare! I love nothing more than spending time with my amazing daughters, traveling around Spain, there is nothing better than a road trip, people watching with a coffee, going to the beach and buying endless cushions and plants!
