Sarah´s first enquiry with me was in the spring of this year, with less than 5 months to go and a large wedding to organise, she had hit what I always refer to as the ´Wedding Wall´ and she knew I was the only wedding planner here that would envisage her dream and make it come true.

Whilst quite a few suppliers were in place, there was still a lot of work to be done.  With a short engagement combined with a busy date in September set Sarah had also discovered many popular, and easy to find on the internet, suppliers were already booked.

When I met with Sarah, and her charming mother, at their beautiful home in Sotogrande, the location for her wedding, they also explained to me that they wanted the pressure taken off them, someone who knew exactly what they were doing, had experience and to assist and finish the planning, finalise the budget, organise the suppliers and have a team present on the day.

I explained I was already personally booked on their actual wedding day and would be in Barcelona, but I would work with them on the lead up to the wedding and put a team into place to oversee the day.  (more…)

Out of Town Welcome Bags for Weddings

April 30th, 2015 Posted by Delightful details, Elegant Weddings in Spain, Favours for Weddings, Ideas for Weddings, Welcome bags for weddings 0 thoughts on “Out of Town Welcome Bags for Weddings”

As our wedding season is now well and truly underway we are thoroughly enjoying putting together our Out of Town Welcome bags and boxes together for some of our clients guests.

All of our weddings have flown in from far and wide to host their weddings here in Spain and what is really welcoming is presenting your guests with a personal wedding welcome gift bag or box full of useful, and not so useful, but lovely things to show appreciation for the fact they have travelled to celebrate your wedding with you.

We have some fabulous bags and boxes that we are creating so thought it would be nice to share them with you and a list of ideas we create for our clients.

A pretty welcome bag or box with a personalised message and itinerary of your wedding card

A map of the local area with useful information on your local area, such as recommended restaurants, emergency numbers and hints and tips

Sunscreen, slightly important here in sunny Spain to stop your guests from turning pink or an even deeper shade of red

Water, again always welcome in a hot climate

Small bottles of wine, cava or sherry, even more welcome!

Savoury nibbles, olives, crackers and nuts from local suppliers

Sweet treats, perhaps some chocolates, mints or sweets

Headache tablets, they will be drinking a lot during your celebrations so what better than to provide some headache relief

Plasters for those aching dancing feet

Locally produced gifts, ceramic tiles, olive oil or infused vinegars

Some lovely scented bath gels or scented candles for their rooms

There is a whole host of ideas to make your guests feel special and appreciated so, if you have the extra budget, do try to make your guests feel welcome when they have travelled sometimes half way across the world to join you.

A Vintage Spanish Lace and Bouganvillea Wedding

January 12th, 2013 Posted by Delightful details, Fabulous Blogs, Favours for Weddings, My Inspirations, Spanish Weddings, Stylish Weddings in Spain, Vintage Spanish style 0 thoughts on “A Vintage Spanish Lace and Bouganvillea Wedding”

Squeaking, more squeaking, some hyperventilating followed by happy deep sighing and thank heaven for Style Me Pretty!

Completely head over heels and deeply in love with this gorgeously, beautifully styled vintage Spanish influenced wedding.

All the details are enchanting from the pink bougainvillea and lace ceremony area to the beautifully dressed tables, the intricate gold Moroccan styled stationery and we love the blue and white Spanish tiles.  Still hyperventilating!

We adore the thoughtfully designed blue table runners setting off this tablescape combined with the jewel coloured votives adding a touch of the Moroccan style, which of course is synonymous with the Andalucian culture, it works perfectly.

Love the eclectic mix of colours used from the smaller touches of purples and turquoises, casually throwing in some pales pinks amongst the brighter pinks, golds of course, as this is our year to sparkle! and a few hints of bright zingy Sevillian orange.

The wonderful array of accessories combined with the proteas, succulents, the mix of florals, fruits and nuts and the dark wood Moroccan screens all bring this gorgeous wedding to life and convey a beautiful Spanish style.

Here in Spain our Mediterranean sunshine and the wonderful light we have brings all the glorious colours of Southern Spain to life, it is a passionate country and we sing and dance colour so why not introduce this wonderful evocative style into your Spanish wedding.

Southern Spain is not the beautiful dreamy whites and lavenders of Provence, the deep terracottas and greens of Tuscany nor the subdued ivories and blush of vintage UK.

Spain is a vibrant, passionate country and here in Andalucia, the land of flamenco, tapas and Spanish guitar, we are full of history steeped in Moorish influences so let´s embrace these gorgeous jewel colours, include the culture and throw some Spanish style and fun at our weddings!

We are creating some gorgeous weddings this year including using handmade Spanish ceramic tiles, made in Seville, personalised as favours for guests.

It is such a fabulous idea and we cannot wait to see them.

Our thanks to Style Me Pretty for just being there and sharing such gorgeous events to inspire us and to Alchemy Fine Events and Luna Photo for sharing these wonderful images for people like me to drool over!

Lemon Wedding at Zagaleta Casa Club, Spain

October 13th, 2012 Posted by Favours for Weddings, Our Weddings, spanish wedding themes, Themes for weddings, Unusual Ideas, Wedding Planning service, Wedding Stationery, Wedding Venues in Spain 0 thoughts on “Lemon Wedding at Zagaleta Casa Club, Spain”

Earlier this year we were contacted by a charming couple who were organising their wedding here at the Zagaleta Casa Club and we were delighted to be hired not only to decorate the wedding with this fabulous zesty lemon theme but also as their planners and coordinators for their day here.
As they live in Dubai they felt they needed someone on the ground here that they could work easily with and that they could trust.
We have not shown actual people here as it was a private family wedding but we are delighted to share some of the fabulous details of this wedding to share and inspire you if you are planning a lemon themed wedding.
The bride is a designer and created some delightful designs for the stationery which really made this wedding fun, from the pretty confetti bags and Order of Service to the rather novel wedding colouring books which I thought were a fabulous idea!
The favours were all lemon themed with lemon sherbets for the girls and lemoncello in cute bottles for the men.  There were a lot of ideas bounced around and the final details that went into this wedding were created by our bride and her sister.
Our piece de resistance at this wedding was our coconut shy which was organised as a surprise for the groom!  I loved creating this, we had the stands made earlier this year by a local ironmonger and as the wedding was a zesty lemon, blues and a soft grey theme I created a grey striped backdrop and decided to use haystacks to create an area to give it more form and create that country fairground feel to it.
Behind it we hung our bare lightbulbs to give even more of a fairground feel and I think the final result was very pretty.   Anoulka, my design assistant extraordinaire even tied lemon and grey ribbons to the coconut posts which finished it off beautifully.
There were certainly no coconuts left the next day or any wooden balls, so can assume a good time was had by all and we do laugh as apparently the local stags and deer had eaten two of the haystacks within 3 days, so I could not return them to the hirers?!  At least we have happy animals unless they were the ones that ate the wooden balls!
The rest of the decor was kept simple as it is such a stunning setting so along with the lemon and ivory bridal bouquets we created table centrepieces using lots of candles in glassware to give more light, zingy yellow florals along with fresh lemons.
Fi created this gorgeous wedding cake, also inspired by our bride and the final result was a stylish and fun day in a glorious setting with perfect Spanish weather.
Our thanks to Anna Gazda for sharing these gorgeous photos with us.

Stylish Ideas for Favours and Weddings in Spain

July 21st, 2012 Posted by About Us, Alice in Wonderland themes, Delightful details, Favours for Weddings, Fun Stuff, spanish wedding themes, Unusual Ideas, Wedding Decorations, Wedding Planning service 0 thoughts on “Stylish Ideas for Favours and Weddings in Spain”
Here at Reviva HQ we have been very busy over the past few months and have created so many new and lovely ideas for our weddings we wanted to start to share these with you as they were such fun and perhaps an idea for you to easily create at your wedding to bring that extra dimension and a bit of fun to the celebrations.
We have and still do candy bars, we just get better everytime, and of course are still famous for our twinkly lights and candles but this year we have had a lot of fun creating very different ideas for our weddings.
Our olive bars have been a huge hit, just buy some large loaves, cut the top off and scoop out, fill with olives, placed on some cut off tree slabs with some gorgeous signs and wooden spoons and treat your guests to an olive bar 🙂  You can give out olive oil and olive favours too to share the Andalucian flavours with your guests!

We now hire out gorgeous lemonade dispensers should you wish to create a fresh lemonade bar, or indeed a pimms bar or a fresh juice bar, complete with paper straws and our very retro glassware this is a refreshing welcome for any hot wedding guest as you welcome them to your ceremony.
We do stock paper straws and many other gorgeous party items at our shop in Elviria.
Our dressing up boxes have been a huge hit, whether you are having a photo booth or not it is amazing what a glittery hat and large sunglasses can do to your grandfather :)!
We supply dressing up boxes for weddings in vintage style cases full of stupid and fun dressing up things to bring out the child in every guest, we have endless photos of our weddings revisiting their youth :)!
Dancing shoes baskets, we started last year and they continue to be a welcome hit this year for sore feet, supply a basket of flip flops for your guests and they will love you forever.
I dread to think how many times I have seen guests wobble out the church clutching their gorgeous shoes in their hands.
I think it is due to the heat here and whilst the shoes may feel fine in the UK or Ireland, the heat in Spain makes many peoples feet swell.
The sight of a dancing shoe basket I think for many of these women I witness must be a godsend!
Our very popular spanish fans are still a must at every ceremony, we can provide plain or decorated fans to match your style of wedding and again are a godsend and a useful accessory for any wedding in Spain.  My advice is give them out at the ceremony and do not keep them for the reception 🙂
For our September weddings we have even more fabulous props and ideas, including fairground attractions, Alice in Wonderland style games, in fact we cannot wait to share all these with you.
Lawn croquet, coconut shies, candy floss, signage and dressing up boxes are all available now to hire from us to make sure your wedding turns into a party that your guests will love and remember.
Add a fun element to your wedding whether it be maracas and castanets to get your guests into the flamenco mood, or perhaps a more elegant foodie experience of hosting an olive bar, lemonade bar or a themed candy bar which again can double up as favours for your guests to take home or just have some serious fun with games, dressing up and chilling in one of our gorgeous Moroccan styled chill outs.

Etsy in Spain perhaps!

October 24th, 2011 Posted by Delightful details, Favours for Weddings, Wedding Suppliers on the Costa Del Sol 0 thoughts on “Etsy in Spain perhaps!”
I am very fortunate that, as part of my work, that I am introduced to some hugely talented and creative people. I am always attracted to the people that have that certain style and more importantly are working very hard, are passionate about what they create and are reliable.

Recently a jewellery maker was bought to my attention by Sweet Things by Fi at one of our design meetings in our studio.

Fi had bought some of Sharon´s creations including some gorgeous wine glass charms, bracelets and key rings all made out of beautiful crystal beads. We discussed various ideas of how they could be used for our weddings either as gifts for bridesmaids and favours.

Shortly after this one of my friends was struggling to find a good supplier for a Breast Cancer charity night to provide some pretty gifts for her fundraising.

Having spotted this plea on Facebook, I asked Fi whether Sharon could make up 40 crystal bracelets with 3 days notice and lo and behold a wave of the magic wand produced not just 40 to die for pink and clear crystal bracelets but beautifully presented in pink organza bags and tied with gorgeous tags.

We were delighted, and so was Maryanne, the organiser of this event.

Our thanks to Sharon at Lovelissimo Designs for helping us out at such a short notice and we hope to work with Sharon a lot next year to produce favours, bridesmaids thank you gifts and just general gorgeousness!

Sharon´s new venture can be found on Facebook and her website.
