Earlier this year I was contacted by Paul and Joy, an utterly charming couple looking to host their wedding in Spain with their family and a couple of close friends.

Paul and Joy had already booked a stunning villa in Ronda for the week of their wedding but were set on a beach blessing and then wanted to head up to the hills for a Mamma Mia style dinner party with plenty of good food and wines at their villa.

After we met for a coffee, they were sold and so was I!

During our meeting I suggested a few beach venues that I thought would fit their criteria perfectly.  They took down the details and directions and spent the rest of their holiday having a nosey, some lovely laid back beach lunches and checking out my suggestions!

I can never contain my excitement when we receive professional photos of our work ūüôā

Marijana contacted me last year to hire us for the styling and decoration of her wedding to the rather dashing Roberto.

Now this wedding was going to be held in a fabulous Castle in Carmona.  I was sold!

Carmona is one of my favourite towns in Spain so I jumped at the chance to organise another visit to this magical town and, a bonus, spend time here creating a beautiful wedding.  This town holds such a special place in my heart as I was fortunate enough to take my beloved father there for his 80th birthday weekend, not knowing he would never make his 81st, special times and wonderful memories.

When Ashleigh first got in touch with me from New York, she had already booked the Finca and church in preparation for their wedding in Spain.

The catering was also confirmed but Ashleigh had hit the proverbial ¬īwedding wall¬īas I like to call it. ¬†Still required was all the furniture, glassware, linens and decoration plus someone to pull it all together and oversee the day.

I love a challenge and thought how lovely, a beautiful Finca near Iznajar in the middle of June, perfect weather and a stunning location.  This wedding has now gone into my top ten hottest weddings ever as the heatwave we suffered in June drove the temperatures up to the mid forties!  Never have I been so hot without air con to dash into!

As my business is weddings and styling, plus a background in interiors and design, I constantly watch trends emerging.  I am pretty good at predicting them and love watching talents emerge that really stand out from the crowds so had to share this amazing cake designer with you.

I found Ivenoven on Instagram and was immediately wowed by her amazing creativity and skills.

Her website is simple but really she does not need much else as her cakes speak for themselves, they are quite simply works of art. (more…)

We love these new wedding trends that are coming in from interior styling, concrete, marble, coppers, rose golds and as I predicted recently cactus are taking 2017 by storm.

Even big retailers such as Ikea are doing these cute ceramic cactus this year, aren’t they just brilliant for styling up a welcome guest table or dessert station! ¬†At only 15 euros for the set of 3 this is affordable and a fun idea, but be quick as have a feeling these will be seen at quite a few weddings this coming year! Having posted about what we are seeing as one of the latest fashions for weddings we thought we would work up the marble theme a bit more. This helps us as we get our creative hats on to look at styles, colours and designs for our weddings.

I created this inspiration board this evening from Pinterest to look at this style in detail.

For me marbles are quite a cold medium to work with.

Hi everyone and welcome to the New Year!  I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and New Year.

Here in Spain it is still a holiday with the 3 Kings tomorrow and one last weekend to relax and celebrate before all normality returns and the darling little kiddies go back to school, yay!!

I admit I switched off for a while from weddings as Christmas overtook me, which is always great as it allows me a bit of a breather and creative time.
