This past week Spain has had a heatwave, which is unusual for the middle of June, but temperatures have risen to the 40’s inland and over 30 on the coast.  This, my lovelies, is shade temperature 🙂

Many of my past clients have said to me “don’t worry we have nothing but clouds and rain here and are looking forward to seeing some sunshine and blue skies”.

Well this ain’t pleasant sunshine and blue skies, this is searingly fierce heat, it is like being locked in a sauna for the day!

We love watching the new trends to ensure we are always up to date with our wedding styling and tonight I quickly put together this style board with concrete inspirations found on Pinterest.

As the industrial look hit the interiors world a few years ago we adored the polished concrete kitchen worktops and I was pleased to see the use of marble and stone come back with a vengeance as my entire house has marble floors that I never really liked but now they are bang up to trend! (more…)

We love these new wedding trends that are coming in from interior styling, concrete, marble, coppers, rose golds and as I predicted recently cactus are taking 2017 by storm.

Even big retailers such as Ikea are doing these cute ceramic cactus this year, aren’t they just brilliant for styling up a welcome guest table or dessert station!  At only 15 euros for the set of 3 this is affordable and a fun idea, but be quick as have a feeling these will be seen at quite a few weddings this coming year! We like to think we are ahead of trends but last night I was chatting away to one of my favourite brides and she asked me if we could find a Selfie Mirror for her wedding here in September?!

I was clueless and admit I had no idea what this was, so Mary sent me a link, she had seen it at a wedding show in Ireland and said it was really very clever.

I love a mission so was straight onto this!

A Chic City Wedding in Seville, Spain

February 4th, 2016 Posted by City Weddings in Spain, Exclusive Wedding Venues Spain, Spanish Weddings, Weddings in Seville 0 thoughts on “A Chic City Wedding in Seville, Spain”

After what seems like months of hibernation we are all finally surfacing from Christmas and the arrival of 2016!

Well, actually, we have not been hibernating at all, our last wedding was November, then a gorgeously romantic secret proposal here in December and since then we have been busy planning and designing our up and coming weddings for 2016 and 2017.

We have some very special weddings booked again this coming year in one of our favourite cities in Spain and even a New Years Eve wedding this year to look forward to!

Looking back over 2015 we still have quite a few gorgeous weddings to post and are delighted to share one of our fabulous weddings from last September of the lovely Jennifer and David all the way from Dallas, Texas.

Jennifer and David were a small wedding party, flying in from the US, who really wanted to capture the essence of real Spain and create some beautiful memories for themselves and their guests.

Where better than the vibrant, passionate city of Seville for some serious fun, tapas nights and of course a beautiful wedding day.

Isabel worked hard with Jennifer creating a very unusual day for her and her guests, starting with a beautiful ceremony on the rooftop of the Alfonso XIII hotel right in the heart of the city overlooking the fabulous Cathedral de Santa Maria de la Sede.

Once the ceremony was over the guests were taken by horse and carriages for a little city tour and bought to one of the finest restaurants in Seville, the Abades Triana, overlooking the Guadalquivir River that runs through the city.

Jennifer and David’s guests were treated to a fabulous cocktail reception and dinner in the cube as the sun set over the river and city.

It was a very romantic and magical setting.  We decorated the cube with some beautiful floral arrangements in reds, orange and yellow, gold sequin table runners and charger plates finished off with lots of gold tealights.  Truly sparkly!

Each guest place setting had some lovely Spanish favours of infused oils and vinegars from one of our amazing Spanish suppliers and Jennifer had ordered some really pretty menus in navy with gold polka dots.

After the dinner the guests were invited to embark on a boat to sail up the river where they were treated to a cake and dessert bar, dancing, an awesome flamenco show and of course the spectacular views from the river over the city.

Many beautiful memories were created this day in such a fabulous city, our congratulations to Jennifer and David and a big thank you to Jeremy Standley for sharing such fabulous images with us.

A Hip Hacienda Wedding in Seville

December 9th, 2015 Posted by Fairy Lights for Decoration, Hacienda Weddings in Spain, Lanterns and Candles, Planning a Destination Wedding, Wedding Planning service, Weddings in Seville 0 thoughts on “A Hip Hacienda Wedding in Seville”

Here in Spain on a pretty gloomy cloudy day we love nothing more than receiving photos of our fabulous, glorious hot summer weddings!

This day was certainly no exception, in the heat of Seville at the end of July at one of my favourite venues, the gorgeous Hacienda San Rafael were hosting the wedding of Nicole and Andrew and the Reviva team rocked up to put many finishing touches to their day.

We had been working the day before in Malaga in a very hot venue which was hitting 56 degrees by the afternoon so I have to admit I was rather dreading heading up to Seville the next day but was pleasantly surprised to find it was only in the early 40’s with a slight breeze and luckily, Nicole and Andrew being sensible people had decided not to start their wedding until 8pm!

We can never stress to our clients how hot it does get here and to plan accordingly.

Nicole had contacted us to help her with her styling and some aspects of her planning to make sure her day went as smoothly as possible and she knew we worked at this beautiful venue a lot.

We created personalised signs, dressed the chairs with Spanish lace, and created the magical twinkly setting in the dining area dressing the trees with lanterns, crystal fairy lights and chandeliers.  We ordered her wedding flowers from a florist we know and work with in Seville and made sure everything went smoothly.

Whilst Nicole had planned most of her wedding herself, we assisted Nicole with various suppliers, plenty of wedding advice and jumped in to help her when her make up artist had double booked and she had to fly over to Spain to find a new one.

I do giggle when I arrive the next day to find our couples have lost their voices and are trying their best to entertain their guests and this was no exception but it was a delight to see how thrilled they were and what a fabulous evening they had enjoyed with their close family and friends.

Our congratulations to Nicole and Andrew and thank you to Richard at Elan Images for such fabulous photos.

Springtime Wedding in Seville City

October 7th, 2015 Posted by Delightful details, Wedding Photographers in Spain, Wedding Venues in Spain, Weddings in Andalucia, Weddings in Seville 0 thoughts on “Springtime Wedding in Seville City”
I cannot quite believe we are now well and truly into October after what has been a fabulously busy and hot summer.

I love this time of year, not only because it is my birthday month!, but now we can spend time looking back at our work, enjoying all the photos sent to us from the hugely talented photographers we work with and can share very special days and memories with you.

Heading back now to the gorgeous month of May, before our rather extreme heatwave took a grip on Spain this summer, we spent most of this month in the vibrant city of Seville.  In fact I was even beginning to search the real estate agents and thinking of buying a crash pad there!

Who cannot love this city, the capital of Andalucia, a hotbed of flamenco, passion and tapas bars, stunning architecture and one of the most beloved places here in Spain so where better to host a wedding!

K and K contacted us as they wished to host their intimate wedding in Seville with close family and friends.  With a Spanish family already here and the rest of their guests travelling with them from the States, Seville was the perfect location for everyone to make the journey to celebrate their marriage.

Casa Guardiola is a stunning palace house located just opposite the Alfonso XIII hotel and was the ideal location for K and K’s wedding celebrations.

The afternoon started with a lovely ceremony in the garden room followed by a longer than usual cocktail in the Patio de Caballos where the guests were entertained with a jazz band, jamon cutter and a wonderful cheese table.

Dinner followed in the stunning Patio de Columnas with some lovely touches organised by the family as a surprise for the newly weds such as a wonderful video and some beautiful favours of chocolate and photo frames for each guest.

Whilst K and K wish to remain private we had to share such a stunning location with you and some of the details of their gorgeous day of which we have very fond memories.

Thank you to Joseba and Mar from Romance Weddings for, yet again, taking such lovely images of such a beautiful day and thank you to my team, especially Isabel, for working so hard to create yet another stunning wedding and dashing around the city to buy cake stands!

A Spanish Rustic Orange and Olive Hacienda Wedding by Reviva

December 18th, 2013 Posted by Delightful details, Hacienda Weddings in Spain, Our Weddings, Styling Weddings in Spain, Wedding Stationery Spain, Wedding Venues in Spain, Weddings in Seville 0 thoughts on “A Spanish Rustic Orange and Olive Hacienda Wedding by Reviva”

Tonight as we head towards Christmas at a rapid rate it is lovely to have time now to reflect back over the year and look at all our beautiful weddings so we are delighted to receive these fabulous photos from Alberto and Sue at SaroCallister photography of one of our weddings we styled way back in June at the charming Hacienda San Rafael based just outside Seville.

I always squeak with excitement when we are creating weddings at this venue as it is so on my top list of favourite venues and I love heading up to Seville, any excuse for a mini break up there and to catch up with Anthony!

We are delighted today to have been booked to style a wedding there this coming year for Nina and Matt 🙂

Katy and Simon, what a perfect pair and what a laugh, I think you can see this in their photos, humour emanated from Simon and he was one of those lovely characters that was so going to enjoy his day.

Their wedding date was set for the second week in June and having travelled to Seville in glorious sunshine the weekend before for Margot and Sergy´s wedding you can imagine my horror at waking up there 6 days later to a definite sniff in the air of rain :/

Luckily despite some grey coverage it never materialised and a fabulous day was had by all.  We had a wonderful time creating all the staging, styling, props and florals for this wedding from the paddle fans to the bridal bouquets.  A prop box was set up for the cocktail along with the fabulous table seating plan and many personalised signs were displayed around the venue.  We loved the little touches such as the dancing shoes and of course waved our famous magic wand to turn the venue into a candle lit, twinkling paradise ready for the evening.

The beautiful ruffle wedding cake was created by Sweet Things by Fi and we would like to thank Alberto and Sue at Saro McCallister Photography for allowing us to share these fabulous images with you and to Anthony at the Hacienda for always having a permanent smile on his face and being such a star to work with 🙂

Our congratulations to Katy and Simon and thank you for allowing us to style and create your day x
