It is no secret that the interior designer in me is a constant source of inspiration when it comes to applying aesthetics to our weddings. I adore, and probably spend too many hours, poring over interior design trends and ideas.
I love interiors, from Modern to Moroccan, Mediterranean to English Country Garden or City Living. All such different styles and each one provides a huge source of inspiration for me to apply to my work. Give me cushions and I am in heaven! The same principle applies when I am working on our weddings as our clients have different styles and we have to adapt to them.
My current obsession is living walls, blank walls and spaces filled with something other than a painted surface or wallpaper and I am currently loving the idea of a planted wall or a wall with running water. These ideas are nurturing in the back of my mind to create something in my own home, where or what I am not sure yet but once the seed has been sown it won’t be long before it becomes a reality, much to the surprise of my family and friends!
This week I visited the new Amare Hotel in Marbella and the design elements in this hotel are fabulous. They had a living wall and a water wall, they also had black mosaic faces standing out from white walls, just divine design and I was in heaven!
We are hoping to try out their roof top terrace bar this week 🙂 I will take photos of course and share them on our Instagram!
After my recent blog posts about using marble and concrete as elements for our wedding designs I was contacted by a fabulously fresh and innovative company called Crowdy House who are a website platform for European designers and I love it.
There are so many beautifully designed products on this website from jewellery to interiors.
As the botanical trend surfaces this year the next trend will be the Japanese style with origami and Ikebana style floral displays, creating simple and clean lines.
The use of eco friendly materials continues to grow, using materials such as bamboo, recycled plastics, concretes and marbles. Terracotta is making a huge comeback too which is great for our Mediterranean style weddings.
If you are looking for a wonderful design piece do head over to Crowdy House for some inspiration and contemporary designs to either adorn your home or purchase for your wedding and then take home to enjoy for many years.
This post was not sponsored, I love the concept of supporting their designers on one platform and the products they sell and am always happy to support innovative businesses.
