Wow is all I can say about this wedding! It was fun, epic and amazing! There of course is a story behind this one as I had the weirdest of years with my weddings this year. My clients had booked a fabulous beach villa but it was one that got slapped with a court order after playing music outside at night. It was fine for smaller weddings but I had two large weddings booked at this venue and there was no way we could host the weddings at the venue after this happened.
But, and a big but, both the weddings I had to move turned out to be just utterly amazing and were at far nicer venues. Both my clients said things happen for a reason and I totally agree.
After a tiny bit of weather watching, thankfully we had the most glorious day unfolding ahead of us whilst everyone was excitedly getting ready. There had been many fingers and toes crossed as September can start to be slightly unpredictable and really the plan B for this wedding was just not going to happen, we decided it would be sunny and I had been doing my rain chant and checking with with the weatherman himself, Jeremy, who has all the latest weather apps, as he would!
Hannah and Jonny had been waiting for this day with such excitement and it was so lovely to watch them with her friends and family, getting ready. The florals were just gorgeous and the girls over at Anais Floristeria had worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect for the day. I loved the colours of the chuppah which had been set up with an ocean view behind it. This beautiful ceremony was accompanied by Naiara on her violin.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed a cocktail on the roof terrace accompanied by Volare, a Gipsy Kings style band who were brilliant and we all waited for the Jewish dancing to start as it was touch and go whether they would do this because of the heat! I am so happy they did as it is always such a brilliant part of any Jewish wedding and everyone loved it.
After the cocktail hour guests were asked to be seated. The meal started with some fabulous speeches followed by dining by the sea with the sounds of the waves in the background, it was truly a beautiful evening. The catering was by Gusto and guests were treated to a fabulous dips selection followed by BBQ fish, fish and vegetable brochettes which were delicious and some wonderful salads, my favourite was the cauliflower one.
After the first round of dancing guests were asked to make their way back to the tables for a few more speeches and dark chocolate coulants with a butterscotch chilled soup, just to die for!
The night fell and the magical lighting and decor by Marbella parties started to sparkle, the party started with a cocktail bar and a lot of dancing. Hannah and Jonny had organised a surprise appearance by Roberto Cantero on his sax for their parents, it went down a treat. He was accompanied by a DJ friend of Hannah and Jonny’s who had joined them for this special weekend.
These fabulous images really do capture the day beautifully by the ever amazing Jeremy Standley. It was a brilliant epic wedding that will remain with me for a long time as it was just such fun and I do recommend espresso martinis to get any party underway!
