Wow is all I can say about this wedding! It was fun, epic and amazing! There of course is a story behind this one as I had the weirdest of years with my weddings this year. My clients had booked a fabulous beach villa but it was one that got slapped with a court order after playing music outside at night. It was fine for smaller weddings but I had two large weddings booked at this venue and there was no way we could host the weddings at the venue after this happened.(more…)
After just six months of planning the magical adventure of Fabiola and Lincoln’s wedding with Firefly Experiences the journey began right here in Ronda, on a gorgeous August summer evening, at the most enchanting place I have visited for a long time, Los Pilares in Ronda.
If you haven’t visited, you really must go. It is a piece of heaven on earth and so quirky with peacocks wandering around the gardens and two lovely fat white ducks in residence. I fell in love with this place and visited it many times this year.(more…)
When Karina got in touch with me to tell me her little brother was getting married I was so delighted to hear from her as I had decorated her wedding many years ago at La Cabane, Los Monteros hotel. I met with Simon and Maria, we chose a fabulous beach side villa, organised all the suppliers and were ready to roll out their wedding when disaster struck.(more…)
I love the summer mornings here in Spain when you know the day is going to be a hot one, it has a magical quality in the air before the heat sets in. People scurry around getting things done before it gets too hot and this of course involves buying bread and stopping for a cafe!
This year has been quite kind to us, yes it is hot here and I have spent the summer with wet hair and constantly dabbing myself down but I can’t say I have suffered extreme heat apart from an August wedding in Seville!(more…)
Earlier this year in May we were back at one of our favourite Ronda venues for the wedding of Miranda and Damien who travelled all the way from Vancouver with their family and friends to celebrate their wedding in Spain.
Miranda had lived in Spain as a student and had fallen in love, she wanted nothing more than to return to Spain with her family and friends and what a perfect way to do this and host her wedding here!(more…)
Here at Reviva Weddings we are super excited to be entering 2019 and finishing the planning of many of our gorgeous weddings this year.
We are also still getting lots of enquiries which is amazing, but with only a few dates left we are now turning weddings down which is a shame, but we do always recommend other planners we know and work with.
2020 is also really busy so if you are considering a wedding in Spain I would recommend you start planning as soon as you can.
I always love theming up our weddings, not just the decor, but the food and drinks.
Coming from a family that celebrates any event going, yes even Eurovision themed nights, it is no wonder I have always loved hosting parties and my job is creating weddings and celebrations. It is deep rooted!
My gorgeous sister is also the proud author of her latest book, the Rose Cocktail book which you can buy on Amazon, and it is full of delicious Rose drinks and cocktails. Her book was a big seller this summer with over 10,000 copies sold since its publication in May 2018.
There are many beautiful venues in Marbella and we are fortunate to have worked in almost all of them during our 11 years of creating weddings.
This venue, however, was on my wedding bucket list, I have visited it many times, at first when it was called Silks, and then finally it was taken over by the Trocadero Group who have created such a unique space.
Think of laid-back colonial style with a safari theme, dark woods, beautiful furnishings, cosy corners for the winter with log fires and a stunning setting on the beach surrounded by palm trees.
Wow, wow, wow is all I can say! What a most amazing weekend and awesome wedding!
Situated in the hills above Sitges, just outside Barcelona, Julia and Brian chose to host their destination wedding at the beautiful historical Masia, the Casa Felix and what a fabulous week they had! (more…)
