Are the Sixties Trending for Weddings?

Have you been watching the interiors and fashion industries to see what is coming next for our weddings? After a run of the very popular Seventies Boho style, there is a change in the air as we come out the other side of this pandemic.

Hello my lovelies, I am back after a long summer of being super busy.

In May I launched a Wedding Membership Club as I coach and mentor wedding business owners which has been brilliant fun, I cannot believe it has been running for 6 months! Super gobsmacked the time has gone so quickly. I have helped on many styled shoots and getting other businesses visible which I love.

Well, what a week it has been since the WHO announced we had a pandemic and Spain declared a state of emergency followed by what was a very rapid lock down due to the Corona Virus.

I thought I would come on and write a little blog post about the current situation here in Spain and how we are getting on.

Today the Corona virus was classified as a Pandemic by the World Health Organisation. When news of the Corona virus first broke I was watching, waiting and observing all the information that was being published by the press. I decided to just sit it out, the last thing I wanted to do was add fuel to what seemed to be a media frenzy.

After just six months of planning the magical adventure of Fabiola and Lincoln’s wedding with Firefly Experiences the journey began right here in Ronda, on a gorgeous August summer evening, at the most enchanting place I have visited for a long time, Los Pilares in Ronda.

If you haven’t visited, you really must go. It is a piece of heaven on earth and so quirky with peacocks wandering around the gardens and two lovely fat white ducks in residence. I fell in love with this place and visited it many times this year.

Earlier this year in May we were back at one of our favourite Ronda venues for the wedding of Miranda and Damien who travelled all the way from Vancouver with their family and friends to celebrate their wedding in Spain.

Miranda had lived in Spain as a student and had fallen in love, she wanted nothing more than to return to Spain with her family and friends and what a perfect way to do this and host her wedding here!

Here at Reviva Weddings we are super excited to be entering 2019 and finishing the planning of many of our gorgeous weddings this year.

We are also still getting lots of enquiries which is amazing, but with only a few dates left we are now turning weddings down which is a shame, but we do always recommend other planners we know and work with.

2020 is also really busy so if you are considering a wedding in Spain I would recommend you start planning as soon as you can.

As we draw a close to 2018 I love to take time to reflect not just on my business, but my life, as they are totally connected.

I adore what I do, so for me, it isn’t work, it is me, I live and breathe what I do each day. Anyone that knows me personally says this and often tells me to take a break! The only time I do is at Christmas as I am like an excited child and just love this time of year! Give me glitter and fairy lights and I am in heaven!

Here in Spain, Christmas has well and truly arrived, the shops are full of decorations, supermarkets are proudly presenting their hanging jamons, the famous Spanish turron is stacked high and every conceivable roundabout and walkway is planted with poinsettias.

It is so festive, Spanish style, I just love it!

Spain is a very popular destination wedding country with its fabulous weather, super easy access from all over the world and I just love and totally connect with my clients that adore this country as much as I do and want to host their weddings here.

This weekend I will cover a very popular style of wedding here in Spain, villa weddings.

As you search for venues and wedding planners you may notice many wedding planners do not offer private villa weddings as part of their service and prefer to stick to the hotel and wedding venue packages. (more…)
